Belgian design, craftsmanship, and large-format planters enter the US hospitality and project market

KORTRIJK, Belgium / NEW YORK — Cosapots brings its collection of large-format planters to the American hospitality and project market at Boutique Design New York (BDNY), November 8–9, 2026. The Belgian-owned, architect-designed brand produces lightweight Cohesa® composite plant containers at meaningful scale, hand-finished with stone-like textures.

Choosing Cosapots means choosing design with impact. Timeless class, refined elegance and exceptional large formats set the brand apart. As a brand where contemporary design, craftsmanship and functionality come together, BDNY — a meeting place for contemporary design and hospitality — is the right home for Cosapots’ American debut.

A natural fit for the American design market

Held annually at the Javits Center in New York City, BDNY is a leading U.S. trade show bringing together architects, interior designers, hoteliers, and other design-minded professionals in the hospitality industry. For Cosapots, the show offers an ideal platform to connect with the American design and hospitality community.

Biophilic design continues to influence hospitality and commercial spaces, giving designers new ways to create warmer, softer spaces people want to work, play and live in. Cosapots naturally fits this evolution, combining architectural-scale impact with refined finishes suited to sophisticated interior and exterior spaces.

Building the foundation before taking the spotlight

Large planters are highly visual and tactile design products: designers and customers want to see the material, experience the finish, and understand scale before specifying them for a project. At the same time, professional projects require inventory availability and predictable delivery times.

Cosapots’ appearance at BDNY marks an important next step in the brand’s U.S. development, although not the first. Over the last few years, Cosapots has worked closely with North American distributor NewPro Containers to build local inventory and establish U.S. distribution and operations, while gaining valuable insight into the market and preparing the brand for its next stage of growth.

With this structure now in place, Cosapots is ready to step into the U.S. spotlight. BDNY provides the opportunity to bring the collection directly to American design professionals and to build on an established foundation of distribution, local stock, and service.

Belgian design with a distinctive signature

Cosapots’ design language is defined by clean lines, timeless class, refined elegance and premium finishes, while its exceptional dimensions allow designers to create statement pieces that are both architectural and understated. Manufactured from its proprietary Cohesa® composite, the collection ranges from sleek, lightweight planters to sculptural round, square and rectangular forms, with sizes reaching up to 10 feet long and 3 feet high.

Behind their distinctive appearance is a production method and unique polymer developed in collaboration with experts from the boating and automotive industries. This carefully guarded formula is what allows Cosapots to offer collections in wide size ranges without sacrificing strength or finish.

Despite their stone-like appearance and weather resistance, Cosapots planters are surprisingly lightweight — about 25% the weight of a comparable stone or concrete planter — making them easy to move and maintain. Structural reinforcement ensures durability and reliability throughout every season.

Bringing Belgian design to America

Cosapots is proud to be part of the growing international recognition of Belgian design in the United States. This movement is supported by initiatives such as Best of Belgium, an international showcase of Belgian design, craftsmanship, and innovation, established following a Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Belgian Economic Mission to the U.S. West Coast, led by HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium.

The brand’s presence at BDNY reflects a commitment to bringing Belgian creativity, quality, and design excellence to American architects, designers, and hospitality professionals — and to establish Cosapots as a distinctive Belgian name in the U.S. design landscape.

“For Cosapots, BDNY is the next stage of a carefully prepared U.S. market entry — bringing the brand into the spotlight after building distribution, inventory, and service infrastructure to support its growth.”
