Biophilic office design offers many advantages to the workplace beyond aesthetics. Among those benefits, they provide natural noise reduction, filter out pollutants, and increase worker satisfaction and productivity.
Wanting to capitalize on these benefits, Enerpac Tool Group hired Interiorscapes by The Plant Market to spruce up their new corporate office in Milwaukee.
“Sometimes the office space can feel kind of stale or sterile,” says Enerpac Office and HR Administrative Assistant Lynnelle Jenkins. “We wanted to bring some plant life into the office to liven up the space.”
Challenge
Enerpac, a global industrial tools and services provider, wanted a living wall feature in one of their common spaces where employees often go for a break or change of scenery during the workday. However, they didn’t want the hefty price tag of a full living wall system.
The ideal planters would be striking, easy to clean and water by hand, and compact enough to arrange in groupings.
Solution
For this installation, Interiorscapes sourced the Independence Walton, a 12x7x6-inch plastic sconce planter, from NewPro Containers, their trusted partner for commercial planters.
This durable, decorative container is best suited for indoor residential and light commercial use. It supports greenery without heavy installation requirements, like the marble queen pothos selected for this project.
Lightweight construction keeps handling and upkeep simple. The planters’ smooth finish wipes clean, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.
“They still look like they did the day that they were installed,” Lynnelle says. “They’re white, but they don't show dirt or dust. The planters look great on the wall.”
The half-round sconce shape puts every plant within reach for routine watering and care.
“Being able to affordably provide the client with a living wall style of planting, while making it easy for our technician to service, was key,” says Interiorscapes Sales and Office Manager Sunny Duff. Their technician only needs a step stool to reach the plants.

The planters’ compact size allowed Interiorscapes to install a loose, organic cluster of the containers, which turned their blank common area wall into a living focal point for employees to enjoy. The negative space around the 10 containers adds architectural interest.
The design continues in two different hallway locations, where three planters stacked in a clean vertical line tie the spaces together.
“I’ve always wanted to use the Walton Wall Sconce in a planting like this, but haven’t had the appropriate client space for it,” Sunny adds. “The client loves the installation. They are especially keen on the repeating section of three planters, which adds live plants without sacrificing floor space.”
Interiorscapes regularly relies on NewPro Containers for durable planters that look nice and perform well.
“NewPro’s products are always top quality. Their customer service is responsive and helpful,” Sunny says. “Shipping is fast, which helps us deliver to our clients that much quicker. NewPro offers a wide range of color options and different styles, which guarantees we can find the correct planter for any type of need.”
